Marks and Spencer Travel Insurance had pleasant, helpful staff who dealt with a pre-existing medical condition sympathetically and efficiently. Quick and easy to arrange a new policy and a lot cheaper than others I had tried.
I spent a long time looking for Travel Insurance for my father who is in his 80's - for a trip from the UK to the USA for 30 days.
Marks and Spencer were very helpful - covered all his pre-existing conditions - with no excess for £123.60.
Much cheaper than anyone else and seems to be better cover.
Hopefully I will not have to make a claim - so can't comment on that side of things.
Was on holiday in Cuba and my Father had an accident. It was 6 days into the holiday so we thought Marks and Spencer insurance company would be able to make it possible for my father to fly back either earlier or the same day as the rest of the family. We had to wait for the certificate to fly from the Cuban hospital, which the insurance company said it would move very swiftly if we did have it, but my father and another member of my family didn't fly back till 6 days after the holiday was meant to end. They promised nursing care would be sent out to Cuba to look after my father, and promise of an Air ambulance, but this never happend. They eventually got an internal flight to Havana from Holguin airport, where my Brother had to wheel my father out of the airport walking backwards carrying my fathers leg, this was absouloutly outrageous treatment, knowing that the insurance company knew all the information, he should have been on a stretcher. Then he was transferred to another Hotel on the 4th floor, no food provision (my father is diabetic, which the company also knew) No bed pan, he is immobolised, so obviously wasn't the easiest situation to start with. A catalougue of appalling treatment, and wouldn;t recommend Marks & Spencers travel insurance to anyone.
