Esure Car Insurance
The idea for esure was conceived in February 1999 by the founder and Chairman, Peter Wood. Peter kick-started the direct selling of insurance over the telephone in the UK back in 1985, when he launched Direct Line and reformed the way that insurance is bought and sold. With esure, his aim was to further reduce the price of cover for the majority of good drivers and responsible homeowners - and to harness the power of the internet in doing so.
They aim to provide a more reasonable service for careful drivers by offering more substantial rewards for clean drivers, and alongside this they offer an inclusive benefits package. Policies may be customised for greater flexibility, as esure believe that their customers should not have to compensate for consumers with an adverse claims history.
With esure car insurance you can build up to 75% no claim discount, you get a free courtesy car if you use approved repairers, flexibility to increase cover limits and a 5 year guarantee on repairs and parts if you use approved repairers if you choose comprehensive cover. (Your statutory rights are not affected.)
The more you review the esure car insurance offer the more you begin to find yourself getting very excited about this service and starting to feel the urge to apply now.
The site is pleasing to the eye and easily navigated. Consumers may fill in online forms for a quotation or view previous quotes that they have saved. Complete policy documentation may be viewed online via Acrobat Reader. For more information visit the Esure website below.

The majority of eSure staff are UK based, and I have found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I changed my car last week, and although the agent said that I would receive my certificate within three working days (totally acceptable), I received it in two working days. Thank you for a prompt service eSure.
The old adage is "if it looks too good to be true it probably is" and let me warn you right now it most definitely applies to Esure car insurance.
Sure they quote much lower prices than anyone else but juzt how do you think they manage that? Think they cut back on staffing costs or promotion? No, they simply make it almost impossible for you to claim and whether you claim or not if you notify them of an incident (crash, theft, damage) whether you were at fault or not or even if there is no loss and it is recorded as notification only BEWARE this will affect your NCB whether it is protected or not - in effect a protected NCB with esure is worth NOTHING.
My car (which I'd owned for only 2 weeks) was stolen from outside the place I bought it. What I did not know at the time was that someone had stolen a key prior to my buying the car and used this to steal the car from me. I informed the police immediately and called Esure the next morning to notify them of the theft. Their operator was not remotely interested and REFUSED to take my claim. It took me THREE days and countless calls to get them to finally take the details from me. This should have rung alarm bells for there was far more to come.
Despite being as honest and helpful as possible their claims advisor was not only abrupt and rude but misinformed me on numerous occasions and eventually I had to insist all communications from them were in writing so I had a record of what they were telling me.
Fortuately the car was recovered with minimal damage 2 weeks later and I called esure to pass on the good news - this is where my troubles REALLY began. I was informed, despite having the car in my possession that I would have to send esure my registration document, service book, keys, receipt and driving licence before the minor damage (locks needing replaced, etc.) could be attended to. I queried why they need the reg doc, keys, etc., as I had the car back and they then said that was fine just to send in my receipt and driving licence. Why my licence, I asked? Because we need to check if you've ever had a parking ticket, came the reply. Parking tickets aren't endorsable (i.e., do not attract points/appear on your licence) so obviously this was a bogus reason. Real reason please, I asked. Err....because it's industry standard practice, came the reply. Well no it isn't, not in theft cases.
Then I discoverd the "notification" clause. Once again esure refused to confirm that this mythical beast existed but it does and basically means that even if you don't make a claim, esure hold this against you in future. I've checked and without the protected ncb my quote would rise from £200 to nearly £800 for logging a notification (no claim made) with esure.
Unless you can 100% GUARANTEE that your car will never be stolen and that no-one will ever crash into you I'd suggest you avoid esure like the plague. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Without repeating the good things the people here have written, I have nothing but good things to say about this company.
There's no such thing as 100% perfect which eSure are not but this is not their fault.
I have the insurance with eSure which includes the NCD. This is far the cheapest I have been quoted for no previous claims, with 3 points on my license and 5 years no claims. They are the cheapest with all the benefits included with any other company (eg., replacement car whilst yours is being repaired).
The staff are extremely polite and willingness to help you.
I put in a claim, had the forms the next day. I sent the form off the next day, within 2 days I received a call from the repairs and the Audio company for repair and replacement. 4 days later, my car was back with it's original contents.
The only company I wasn't happy with was the ones in-charge of replacing the Audio system. They came late, the person took a very long time to replace the Audio system and most importantly the person first came with the wrong Audio system. I complained to eSure and the person was very apologetic. Their first preference in sorting out the Audio systems were extremely busy and that's why I got the other company.
I would and have recommend eSure for their service and price.
