I was with Direct Line before I moved to Churchill. It;s been four continous years now that I am with them. We have insured both our cars with them, it's my habit to check and phone around for the best deals. I have doen that for the last three years and every year I had to come back to Churchill as there no no one who could match their quote for price and service. Unfortunately I had to make two claims because of accidents in the last three years, and I was surprised as to how thoughtful and helpful they were in sorting my case, specially when the other party was refusing to accept liability, they made me feel so comfortable. Hats off to their reliable and trustworthy service. I think I will stick with them for life - or as long as I drive.

So satisfied with our car insurance quote with churchill, that we will be asking for a quote for our contents insurance, early next year. My recent quote for car insurance for this year 2004-2005 was well within other quotes I received.

I had my quote to renew from churchill and went online to compare with tesco etc. and then checked churchill online the quote as a new customer was £45 less, so i challenged them and they have now lowered the premium for me.
so its a case of Brand New Customers Only attitude, when hubbys car is due for renewal i'll do the same

My Churchill car insurance renewal quote just dropped through the door.

Have been on there website & the quote has come up £70 cheaper. Now i know new cutomers get a discount, but this is taking the p*ss. Before i contact them, what do you think the outcome will be, do i insist they take the £70 off or won't they budge.

Shop around, and if they are still cheapest, then just buy the policy "new" off the website and let the renewal lapse.

I did this with Churchill (through screentrade) the last 2 years on 2 different cars. No issues for me.

They are pretty incompetant. My friend has only just received his excess fee back despite the fact that it was a clear cut case. It took several months to try to get churchill staff off their backsides.

By the way, his wife is also an employee of theirs. She gets a 25% staff discount off her insurance. She applied online for a quote last year as a new customer and it that came out £85.00 cheaper then her renewal with the staff discount. Unbelievable!.
