Bank of Scotland Loan
The Bank of Scotland personal loan rates compare well against other banks- that's the influence of their merger with the Halifax. All the usual facilities of a good loan operator are included in their personal loan product, including a three month repayment holiday if you wish, applications accepted from £1,000 (a good low start) up to £25,000 and repayments across up to 7 years.
If you're consolidating debts from other sources such as credit cards, or paying for a holiday, the 8.9% APR isn't bad. You can get a better deal from supermarkets or online banks, but if you want the support of branches, this could be a preferred choice, especially at lower borrowing amounts.
If you need more money, a secured Bank of Scotland Personal Loan might be the answer. If you have a BOS or Halifax mortgage already, rates drop to a very friendly indeed 5.9%. If you're not already a customer, 7.3% is far less impressive. But one clever secured product is Home Cash Reserve- a 25,000 cash pot secured on your home which you can dip into anytime. And you only pay interest on the amount you use. If you're planning ahead to borrow, rather than chasing existing debt, this might be an ideal product.
Features of the Bank of Scotland Personal Loan

I live in a rented 3 bedroomed semi- detatched from the council , I work 18 hours a week and wanted to purchase my house the Bank Of Scotland had no problem as long as I could prove I could afford the mortage most other leanders wouldnt touch me not even my own bank ,so if it wasnt for The Bank Of Scotland I wouldnt be buying my house and joing the house ladder. As with most people I dont know much about mortages but with this bank they were patient , they provided information about each mortage that was avaliable , the interest rates and other usefull stuff they were very informative and good all round . They even gave my a ring to see if I had sorted out my building and house contents insurance and offered me a discount for using them and also for joining both insurances together.so for any one confused about mortages these were brilliant and also a very good interest rate.
I was pleasantly surprised at the service offered by the Bank of Scotland. Low interest rates, efficient and speedy service and friendly staff made dealing with the bank easy. A follow up courtesy call was made with equal standards of service. Used to dealing with poorly trained staff or automated machines, I was impressed by the Bank of Scotland and would recommend them to anyone. An initial payment holiday which left me with extra cash for the summer was the icing on the cake.
Thank you!
